If the Dimitar Berbatov transfer to Manchester United materialises then Tottenham Hotspur could turn their attention towards Newcastle United’s striker and captain Michael Owen.
Both Manchester United and FC Barcelona have been interested in the Bulgarian striker. Michael Owen is in the final year of his contract at St James Park. |

Spurs would be unwise to buy Owen as he is always injured.DaJohnner August 17th, 2008 19:12
I must agree, he is highly injury prone and in the declining stage of what will be an underachieving career due to injuries.BesTalentScout August 18th, 2008 05:26
Spurs losing their way so soon.........even if Owen is not injured, he's virtually useless now since he lost his pace....
Owen only asset is his pace all along........
he can't head the ball - too short
can't shoot from range
can't really dribble - he merely kick the ball left or right and outrun the defenders
